I am the creator of inDark MOD (indark.d3files.com) and since, my MOD is farely small and will be released anytime in 2-3 months, I have decided to join other teams to help them in mapping (if needed).

Visit my website for all the projects I am working on/have worked on.

As for doom3, I have put up this gallery for you guys from my inDark MOD. Please note, these are all unfinished level shots, and they will be much more detailed in final release.

EDIT: I didn't post one of the more detailed maps shots. If you want me to, I can post them too. No Prob.

Very interesting maps. I like the gothic style. Do you have any maps that we could run around in? Also were you interested in joining or just contributing maps? Just so you know before anyone becomes a full member they are on sort of a trial basis so that we can see that the person is actually interested and motivated. This would also having one nice completed solid map. Of course we will help how we can with it. What do you think? Does this sound fair? I am interested in joining the team. And the trial session seems fair enough. Since the shots I showed you are from inDark, I can't send u those maps as the pak file is over 50 Mb for those. But I will create a map based on LMS's gameplay for you. You want me to PM the map to you here or through mail?

If you are working on your own mod would you have enough time to dedicate to LMS too? Well I guess we'll see how it works out, I am definitely interested in seeing what you can do. What type of map were thinking of making, progression or defense? Also I would recommend trying to keep the monster count to about 5 monsters max on the screen, unless they are not laggy monsters like maggots and such. Take care and hope to hear from you soon Smile

Progression. I am gonna show you starting of it, and if you like this one, then I'll continue to work on this one itself. I will be needing some tips on optimising the map for Multiplayer though, my experience with doom3 map making is with single player only so far.

No worries. My mod isn't that big, but it is best if I do two mods than one to prevent boredom of any kind.

Of course we will help you however we can with getting the map working in coop. Also, if you are worried about being bored, we plenty of maps that could use a bit of sprucing up. Do you have any interest in that? Some maps just need more varieties of monster waves, some need a few less, and some need monster waves at all and other fixes. Let me know, because we sure could use some more help on that front since there are so many maps. Take care.

Ok, here goes. due to some problems with my display card, I was able to finish a little part of this map only (starting action of Progression). There is some action, sound effects and detailed level design for SP progression gameplay as this map might lag in MP when all of it is completed.

Basically, the idea is that once the action dies down and the door opens, the player goes through the portal into another part of the map and then a portal from there to another place and so on.

There are powerups placed all over (prob some hidden), for balanced gameplay (not overpowering the player) in the map.


I can make the map more detailed, but then I'll have to resort to more brush use and even some custom models. Also, like I said in the mail, there will be two graphical 'errors' or bugs in the map I send u..

- A part of wall/block is raised a little from the ground near the location we start.
- There are some 'very dark' areas on some textures because I didn't play with global lightening very much.

The screens look very interesting, I can't wait to check out the map! I'll get back to you tonight, but it might be in a few hours since I really need to take a nap, work made me sleeeepy . Take care and it is really nice to see that you are already seem to be progressing nicely!

Checked out the map. Seemed like you were making some pretty good progress on it. I have a question, is that map intended for SP Coop or for LMS Mod? I would prefer it in LMS Mod since SP Coop is really reserved for the SP maps but maybe we could make an extra section for PS type maps, hmm. As a note PDA's do not work in LMS Mod, and when I grabbed the one near the wall I couldn't move any more Sad Texturing could of possibly been a little more interesting, but overall you seemed to be off to a good start. Take care and keep up the good work!

It is LMS Mod. But what exactly do you mean??

I have already removed the PDA and have varied the textures. I will send you the updated version with more of the gameplay through PM.
