A lot of exciting things are happening at Last Man Standing Coop! Things are moving well towards the version 2.0 release. I want to thank the LMS community who has been going above and beyond to report bugs and make sure we know exactly what the problem is. The good news is that a lot of these bugs are already fixed! Also I want to thank all of our server hosts who have been great about making sure that there are enough LMS servers! Also make sure to check out T4K's servers that we just won as a result of a contest. He is hosting very fast 8 player servers for the mod! You can check him out at t4k.org or irc.enterthegame.com #t4k

Here is a short update of things you can expect so far with version 2.0:

* Due to popular demand, option to enable ragdolls! Will be off by default
* Tpose bug fixed!
* Breathing bug has been fixed
* Support for 16 players
* Difficulty support for 16 players
* Possible basic ROE support!!
* Lag reductions
* Tlabs map by Kaiser
* New progression map by Kaiser
* Prog_sewer map by Mercykiller. Check out some screens of it here
* Bug fixes to Radiotower and hopefully two animations with it!
* Killfest maps will start in hardcore by default
* Other various bug fixes

Also please come to the LMS coop forums and vote for your favorite KF map! From what we can tell some people are not quite happy with all of them so we are thinking about removing some. Here is your chance to voice your opinion and choose with KF maps you want to stay! You can vote and respond here

sounds uber except the ragdoll stuff. i always heard they were disabled for lag reasons, then i heard they dont have an affect on lag. if no effect on lag, why not put them in? options are jsuta s good tho so i dont care Very Happy

Ragdolls might not cause network lag (which is what someone is saying) but they do use up a lot of cpu which causes screen lag, so they do lag, even though they might not do it through the network. Take care.

yep, lets hope it doesn't cause any kind of problems.

and btw anything new with those hitboxes?

ragdolls ? RAGDOLLS! have no effect on lag?? i would love that if it is real and if it is there would be ragdoll all over my server. note if makeing ragdolls: the ragdolls will cause lag if thay are put in the same spot. i love my server:) my server name is "barrels 'o' fun"

if your possibly adding ragdolls does this also mean that we can pick up ammo from the zsec and etc we kill? this isa feature id love to see make it into the coop mode... be alot closer to sp.

ill give my version of what a ragdoll is to widen everyones perspective Razz

as comparison, look at a game like doom or serious sam. those monsters go through an animated script when they die, ie they all fall the exact same way. ragdolls allow monsters to fall in different ways depending on how they were last hit. ragdolls attempt to make the game more realistic by adding in real life physics, as in the example that The Master gave (a falling doll will probably not fall in the same position every time). although rag doll doesnt imply that the object is the shape of a person, that is often where it is used. a big rope or a bucket or a crate could have ragdoll physics; you just need to stretch the definition a little bit
