First I would like to mention that we now have a new irc channel. Gamesurge has been a bit too unstable for our likes, so thanks to the recommendation by Kaiser and AgentSpork, our new channel is on irc.OFTC.net channel #lms-mod The irc channel is a great place to talk in real time to the devs and to meet up with other players to get a game going.

In other news, progress has been going incredibly fast, especially on the coding side. Here is a brief list of things already accomplished:

* PDA Bug is fixed
* Player names now appear above a player's head, and show through walls so that players have an easier time finding each other as can be seen here(click on the images for bigger shot):

* Many reliable message overflow bugs have been crushed
* Weapons tweaked to reduce lag
* New High Score gui in development
* Weapon sound problem is fixed
* Many more! Next version is already much improved!

Regarding the next version, we are hoping to release it by the end of June. This means that anyone who wants to submit custom maps or other materials to the mod need to have them in by the 23rd of June. Also, we are excited to annouce that due to all improvements, and stability of the next version, we are going to be releasing it as 1.0 Official!

Cant wait. I see people playing the hell out of the game even with the glitches, I'm one of em...so imagine how many will playwith the glitches gone and with more improvements.

I think there is a misconception that because the mod has "Beta" in the name that it is full of bugs. It is not. There are some bugs but for the most part they do not prevent you from completing maps or causing crashes. Most are what I would call annoyance bugs. Like the pda lost animation bug (which is fixed for the next release) or the reliable messages overflow errors (many of which are being fixed). The next release will be official 1.0 but in my opinion it could very well be 2.0 or 3.0 with how far this mod has progressed lately.

Well, I am sure i speak for a lot of people when I say "I CANT WAIT!" . I am waiting and walking around my room in a fever as i wait for the thing to come into light...the pictures are a tease hehe.

That's nice :D

We are constantly working on improving the experience. We got some more interesting stuff to show the public soon.

I got a lot more spare time now after exams, so that's more time for modding on LMS.

hey, this mod rocks!!!! doom 3 would be nothing without it, i was very dissapointed when i found out that doom 3 wouldnt have coop.but thanks to you, we still get coop!!!! thanks. i was wondering, are you still plannig to release 1.0 before end of june? because i just started playing coop with my brother, and i was wondering if it will be out within the next few days so that i should wait for it. if you arent going to thats ok....

I know a good thing you can fix into next release
1, I DONT WANT TO LOOSE SCORE IF I GET KILLED!!!!!

2, FIX SO THE SCORE CAN NEVER BE LESS THAN ZERO!!!!!!!
ITS SO BORING WHEN WE FINISH THE GAME WITH THE SCORE -1245!!!!

Yep, score loss on death is very adjustable. Check out the lmsmodserver.cfg if you want to adjust it easily for your server. I personally like it as it gives me more of a reason to try to stay alive so that it won't hurt my score. That's just me though ;D Take care.
