Wat is happening!

when i start Last Man Standing 1.0, by clicking on the icon that says the name, i click on a server and then randomly my game gets out of the LMS mod and loads up Doom 3 and then trys to connect to the server, which LMS doesnt work on regular Doom 3 u have to go to the LMS icon. Y does my game do that, it switches from LMS mod to regular Doom 3 and then attemps to load the server which it gives me an error message. Iv tried uninstalling and re-instaling LMS (yes i have the right patch) and iv tried re-downloading the patch and then installing it but nothing works. Please help ME

Is your copy of LMS in a folder named lms_1.0 in your doom3 folder? What is the name of the gametype of the server you are trying to connect to? LMS can only connect to servers with gametypes of LMS Mod and SP Coop. If you are still having trouble do the following:

Load the mod using your normal shortcut
In the console type in "condump error.txt"
Exit Doom3

After you do this there will be file named "error.txt" in your lms_1.0 folder. Send me a PM (private message) with the contents of that file copied and pasted into the PM.

I looked at the file that you sent me. You have all of the correct files in all of the correct locations. The checksums of your files match mine so I know that none have been modified. Are you trying to connect to an LMS server? Gametype has to be either "LMS Mod" or "SP Coop". My server is always running "SP Coop" if you want to try to join. If you try to join mine make sure the name is "Hobbes LMS 1.0 Coop Server" and not "Hobbes LMS 2.0 Test Server". Assuming that you are still having the problem I want you to do the folllowing:

Start the mod using your shortcut.
Go into the console and type in: logfilename connect.txt
Go into the console and type in: logfile 1
Now try to connect to a server (Not one named Test Server). When it does not work just shutdown Doom3 and there will be a file in your Doom3 folder named connect.txt. I want you to send me that file. I will give you my email in a seperate PM.

Omg that y it wasnt working, i was just clicking on any game that showed up to join on the LMS mod and now when i look at it, iv been clicking on the ones that say other things than SP coop or LMS stuff, now i can play, yippe! But wat r the odds that i kept clicking on servers that had diff game types Shocked

hey Hobbes ive been getting a "client unknown to auth" error each time i try to join any server. ill send you a connect file like above and u can see what the problem is... because i got 1.3 and lms_1.0 placed correctly. I just get this stupid error

I believe that the message Client Unknown to Auth occurs when the master server cannot validate your CD key. I have seen this message myself rarely but usually a reboot of the game will fix it. Try loading regular Doom3 and try to connect to a regular Doom3 deathmatch server and see if that works. LMS did not modify anything that would generate this error. You can also try to re-enter your CD key into the game.
